Happy New Year everyone! Hope you all had a great time throwing out old busted 2008, and welcoming in promising, hopeful, changetastic, 2009.
We celebrated last night by playing at DC101′s Downtown Countdown at The Grand Hyatt, smackdab in the middle of our nation’s capital. CM and Pat McGee Band rang in 2009 with some sweet rock. Got to meet Pat after the show, what a nice dude. We’ve played shows with them in the past, but not since I’ve been around. Hope to do it again soon.

We started the evening with a short acoustic set for the VIP type folk. I like doing acoustic sets. Give the songs a chance to breathe a bit. We were all dressed in our New Years finest, some of us fortunate enough to have our lovely wives and girlfriends on our arms, as the clock hit zero and all of us toasted and hugged and celebrated, and the Griff did the China dance.
Much props to the DC101 gang for all their support and help last night. And also mad props to the Martial Arts master who volunteered to be our de facto bodyguard after some knuckleheads decided to try to get dangerous. Booya.

I love putting these pics up here. Sadly the quality may decline soon, as it’s my wife who is the good photographer, and has been out with us for the week taking these pics. I’ll use my dumpy camera and post from there tho. Oh well.

Happy New Year. Let’s hope it’s a good one, without any fear.
